I built this website back in 2019 while I was working at SME Informatics. Our team successfullydeveloped this website wher I contributed by creating the template based on the client's requirement

Project Context

Race BD is a dynamic web platform built to support and engage racing enthusiasts, showcasing upcoming events, results, driver profiles, and social interaction. The client required an engaging online experience that catered to both avid fans and newcomers, offering a smooth blend of information, community, and event tracking.

Challenges & Objectives

The existing solution lacked interactivity, intuitive navigation, and mobile optimisation—particularly for on-the-go users wanting live updates. Key objectives included creating a visually exciting yet user-friendly interface, improving event discovery and registration, and enabling easy access to the latest results and driver info.

My Role & Approach

As the lead UX/UI designer, I was responsible for the end-to-end process—from research and user flows to high-fidelity mockups and front-end development. I began with user research to identify two primary personas: “Event Enthusiast” and “Casual Spectator,” mapping their journeys from landing page to event registration and post-race results. Using Figma, I designed an interactive responsive interface with strong visual hierarchy, vibrant branding aligned with speed and excitement, and mobile-first layouts for seamless access.

Usability & Refinement

I created prototypes showcasing navigation, event pages, and live-result modules, which were tested with users for ease of discovering events and submitting registration. Based on feedback, I refined the design to simplify forms, optimise layouts for smaller screens, and enhance performance speed for live-update components. I also incorporated responsive design strategies and modular UI elements to maintain consistency across all devices.

Outcome & Reflection

The resulting platform delivered a polished, responsive experience tailored to rhythm and pace of the racing community—balancing visual excitement with usability and accessibility. Users appreciated the streamlined event registration process and mobile responsiveness, while the client applauded the elevated brand presentation and functional improvements. This project deepened my ability to merge UX strategy with visual design in a high-energy digital platform, reinforcing my commitment to building meaningful, user-centric experiences.
